Brutal Beginner (Open)

Ryu regained his balance from his opponents attack, he then clenched his fist in frustration at the thought that he was deflected so easily. It was a few seconds before he realized that the fog in the sphere was draining out. He let out a laugh as his vision became clear again.

"I can see again, and that means that I can see you," Ryu said.
Suddenly the strange angels face became un-shrouded. Ryu recognized him almost immediately.

"Wait, I remember you now. Azmot, what are you doing attacking this hu..." Ryu stopped in mid word.

I see, he isn't human is he? Well nonetheless I can't let you hurt him anymore. Get ready, because I'm not giving up yet." Ryu said.

Ryu took a ready stance, and unsheathed his sword. He dashed at Azmot with the sword held behind him in a striking fashion. As he neared his opponent, he swung his sword downwards.

"..."

An awkward silence hung in the air as Azmot stood in the sphere, now recognized by his friend, and partway his partner. They had trained a few times and talked, but Azmot didn't understand what he was doing here.

"Mr. Takata," Azmot chided, giving his usual, sarcastic, and flamboyant formal greeting. "As your superior officer, I command you to step down."

Azmot stood erect, his General Cloak flapping in the baby-blue light of the ice sphere. The sign on Azmot's cloak was ever-changing, just as he was. During the entirety of their miniature-battle, wings wrapped on either side of the cloaks back lay solemn. However, almost immediately after recognizing Takata Ryu, the ink swirled into something else. Two feather's now intersected across his back, the black ink now looking as if it had been forever there.

Ryu abruptly stops his attack. It had been a while since the two friends were face to face. Ryu saw the ink reform into the feathers, and in response retrieved one from inside his shirt attached to a makeshift necklace.

"HA the first demon we killed as partners, what was it's name. Beelzekor I think. Wow I remember that like it was yesterday. But that's the best part of killing demons, it's like sex, you never forget your first time.

.:Flashback Start:.

The sky was gray as a pulse shuttering shriek erupted from the clouds. The city below was ravaged and the sounds of battle could be heard over the shrieks in the looming clouds above. Two angels stood parallel to each other, swords drawn and worn looking. The battle had apparentally been raging for almost an hour. The two angels looked at each other, and exchanged a friendly nod. the one on the left is revealed as Ryu Takata, and the other as Azmot. Suddenly the wind picks up as a giant black, and crimson falcon with glowing yellow eyes emerged from the clouds. A dark charge of ligtning ejected from its beak, aimed at the two angels. The strike hits but the two were nowhere to be found. They had reappeared around the other end of the falcon.

AZMOT DO IT NOW! Ryu exclaimed.

Suddenly the clouds around the falcon's wings solidified into ice trapping it while crushing the bones and cartilege in the wings, and forcing blood to spray from the wounds. This caused another sharp shriek to emanate from the falcon's lungs.

"You're up Ryu" Azmot said.

Ryu smirked, and spread his wings to their full extent. Ryu charged past the falcon in a blurr leaving only a line that streaked across the sky. The shrieks of the falcon ceased as it's head separated from it's body. Ryu plucked two feathers from th demon and sped back to Azmot. He handed him one feather, and looked at him.

"consider it a trophy emulating a great victory" Ryu said.

"sometimes you concern me" Azmot retorted in a cocky yet amused fashion"

.:Flashback End:.

So Azmot-chan who is he? Ryu says as he points towards the strange human.

Sangoran sat, intrigued by the 2 angels engaged in a back and forth battle, is approached by the strange man he noticed earlier on. The man had given him some advice to which Sangoran brushed off without hesitation.
"Who the hell was that guy tryin to give advice to?" He asks himself as he begins to stare at the scythe and continues talking, "You know what? Its such ashame i'm being left alone like this. Ugh..."
He then looks back up at the 2 angels as they stare at Sangoran. Too far away to tell their facial expressions as friendly or potentially fatal, the grip he has on his scythe tightens exponentially and a bead of sweat drop from his chin.

Giddion Looks down at the the Two Angels, as they commence their fight. He then thinks that something is about to happen between the 2 Angels and the Injured man. He lets out a quiet chuckle and begins to descend from the building he was standing on. The Air begins to Thin and clear.

"So... Oda sent us in to a Minefield Huh? Not even 2 hours into our arrival, we encounter 2 Full breeds, and a Halfling. Why would he send us here??!!

"I believe... He is trying to test us... This... "Mission" is to se if we can survive long enough to be called worthy... He finally reaches the ground and starts to walk away from the Fight area. A chill runs down Giddion's spine.

"You best not be afraid kid. Oda will take your life away IN AN INSTANT if he hears that! Giddion does not respond. But Looks up to the sky and remembers his goal to kill Masamune.

"Im not afraid... Its more like Im... EXCITED!! Giddion continues to walk off once more.

"I don't know, Ryu," Azmot said, breaking the silence in the powder blue dome. The two on the ground were now conversing at lengths, which made the Alchemist's skin crawl. From the inside of his pocket, Azmot pulled the feather from his and Ryu's first mission. It was a glorious battle, really, and it was very intense on how they defeated such a high level demon with just a simple combination, while they had tried so hard to separately defeat it for hours. It showed, it symbolized what it meant to be an Angel under The Almighty Kami.

"I suggest that you leave the area, though. There is a woman who has been following me for quite some time, though I have no idea why I assume that it is a woman. She rides a mysterious air-bike, and she brings the strangest phenomenon with her."

As if he was casting a spell, the Ice-Dome turned back into a giant cloud, but it was not Azmot's doing. On instinct, he flew, but he wasn't so sure about Ryu, or what he would do.

"Ryu, FLY!" Azmot exclaimed, rushing to his side to motivate Ryu to spread his wings. However, before he could speak another word to Ryu, a figure was noticed at top of a far-off building. It was the women, her face shrouded in a hood, and the strange air bike next to her. By Raising both hands, the figure summoned two set's of symbols. One was in the shape of a Coffin, while the other was like a sword. They started to flicker, one at a time, the light transferring from one symbol to another.

The light stopped on the coffin while the sword stayed grey. As if by magic, the coffin materialized into a giant form of itself, opening up to reveal the monster he was just reminiscing about. It was the same one he and Ryu had defeated not so long ago. Except this one was on crack.

Almost the entire body was covered in metal to prevent a crushing or slashing technique, which would make it difficult to defeat if it were alive. If it were alive, that is, which it wasn't. Until the Female Figure snapped her fingers, causing the whole body to glow for a moment.

The avian took to the sky, and a light now transferred to the sword. Instead of becoming a sword, however, light covered Azmot's, and presumably Ryu's, Feather. What was there after the light left was an incredible dagger which was solid, yet light as... well, a feather.

Now armed with the Featro Dagger, Azmot looked at Ryu to see if he was ready for there next challenge: It was time to work together once more to defeat this demon... once more.

Ryu hovered, shocked by the events that just occurred. He had barely noticed the new figure standing on the building. That is until she went all psychocymantic acid trip on them, the flashing would have temporarily blinded him, if he didn't cover his eyes with his arm. What he saw before him was like a panel from a bad manga. He spoke to Azmot

"Whats with the giant floating mecha-pidgeon? It's like once I had that battle nostalgia fit she conjures the damn thing like an emo wizard or something. And where did she get a coffin that damn big".Ryu was mad, and confused at the same time, mad because he had just sheathed his sword, and confused because with the exception of Azmot, he knew nobody, nor their true intentions. He was convinced that Him, and Azmot would not be enough to ground that bird another time. He muttered something to himself before gliding down at full speed to where the burned man was resting. He landed, and tossed him a vial. He started to speak,

"The names Ryu, and that's Azmot up there, we are Angels. Drink that, it's an elixir. It will heal your burn and get you back to fighting condition. ow I know my friend up there, He was not attacking you out of malice. He was testing you. Despite that whole conflict up there, over there, and there, plus that weird new arrival over there, it's been a crazy night. Now I need you to help us, call it returning the favor for helping you back there. we need you to help kill that thing. Whether you know it or not you have powers, amazing powers, and with your help we can send that thing back to the abyss where it can be smelted into nose rings or some shit like that. So now I will ask once again. Will you help us, and Don't worry about flying... I got you covered".Ryu turned away from the stranger. and looked up at Azmot, giving him the signal to descend to where he was. He hoped that in a combined effort, they could take the avian threat down before it caused any real damage to Masaki City.

Shaking off the events of the strangely suited man and what Sangoran considered a "solidified" preach from him, he watches as he walks away. No sooner than that did he notice flashing lights out of his peripheral. He gazes at it as he sees a coffin growing in size, not seeing the woman concealed beghind the hight of the surrounding buildings. He sees the coffin open up and a mecha-bird emerge form within it. He begins to wonder how screwed he is at this moment. As he begins considering options the angel from earlier comes down and drops a bottle on his lap.

Here take this. It's an elixer. It'll heal your wounds. Also, the angel up there wasn't trying to kill you. He was testing your abilities. Now will you help us in beating this.. thing?

Sangoran looks down at the bottle and picks it up. He begins fighting himself inside about the choice to throw it or drink it."Do I wanna trust this guy? After all the people ive- NO! I need to move on! Forget this vow right now, its either my life or my vow, and frankly i would rather live right now. No better way to find out then do it. I guess dying again won't be as painful as the first time around if it goes wrong."
Fine. I'll do it. Not to pay you back, its more so I can get some fun around here. Sangoran pops open the bottle top and chugs the entire bottle down. He notices a slight stinging sensation and looks at his leg as it begins healing. An exstatic look appears on his face as he sees this miracle unfold before his eyes. Sangoran then stands up shakes out his leg, making sure its not some kind of illusion.

So you said something about flying? He asked with a smile on his face and the scythe leaned up against his left shoulder.

Giddion feels this Growing Pressure Behind him. He dashes Back tward the Source.

"Something dont feel right Kid... This Pressure... Feels almost demonic... What do you plan on doing? Giddion Keeps running and does not answer The demon.

"So what, Now your gonna Ignore me? Both You and I know that without a plan, Your gonna die! Now Listen. Stay Hidden when we get there... We need to analyze the target, and attempt to find a weak point! Giddion Nods, as he reaches the area where the entity was forming from the Light. The shape of a coffin seemd to Awaken a dark Fear within Giddion. He stops. The Light then begins to fade from His eyes. Pitch Black... Nothing... The world has seemed to have faded away. The Hellflames Begin to Rise. Giddion Appears inside a classroom. The faces of His Formar classmates arise.

"Haha!!! You never knew Your Family!!! Your no better then a Street-rat!"

"NO!!!! NO! I AM More than a street Rat!!! Im a normal Person Just like ANY of you!!

"No your not! Normal lives have PARENTS!!! So YOUR NOT NORMAL!!!!"

"I Dont Need Parents!!! NOR DO I NEED ANY OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The Hellflames Engulf the Entire Classroom scene. His Sight goes Blank again. He awakens. But above him now, The coffin Has open and released a large Mecha Bird.

"Bout fucking time you woke up!! They Look Like they can use our help!!! I also have an Idea, Come on!!! Giddion Nods, and wall Jumps to the Height of the Falcon, He draws one sword and takes a stance.

Azmot rushed by his rag-tag group of comrades, looking around to how many he had. Two bye him, and some mysterious warrior up above him. There was not realistically a lot of hope for so few against this upgraded Bird Demon. Unfortunately, it would have to be enough.

"Alright guys, hold your ground. Wait for it to come to us..." Azmot said, his sword itching to come out of his sheath. He took an OX style stance as he breathed in deeply, calmly waiting for the bird to strike.

Ok... HERE IT COMES!

The giant Avianic Demon swooped in, it's metal body coursing with black electricity. Azmot shot clouds from underneath himself, boosting him high above the bird's attack. Scanning the upper part of the body, Azmot noticed that it's upper-backside was not covered in metal, and not electrical. Now shooting his body towards this weakpoint by propelling clouds out of his back: Azmot pulled out the Featro-Dagger. When he was close enough to get a good stab in, he injected the weapon inside, everything but the hilt now apart of the giant bird.

Though the bird barely noticed such a small wound, it was annoyed. Large amounts of lightning shot out and aimed at Azmot. 6 Arcs of hellish lighting was shot out of it's back. As they hit, Azmot started to see black spots in his eyes, and he passed out, falling through the air in am unconscious fit. From about 3 stories up, the young angel slowly accelerated towards hard pavement, not even knowing his life was about to end.

Ryu observed in contempt as the winged behemoth sped towards them. It was in a flash when he had heard Azmot scream something before launching himself into the sky. He had soared above the bird before a flash was seen and Azmot was left falling to the ground, Ryu panicked seeing his friend in a helpless state, ever approaching his final demise. Ryu reacted and jumped with the currents of wind to boost his speed in order to catch his falling friend. He folded his wings back to decrease air resistance and increase speed. He angled himself downward to catch Azmot, but was not able to catch him. He quickly focused his energy, and used an extension of wind from his body to intercept Azmot. He then slowly levitated Azmot down to a safe landing. He turned his attention towards the Aviary monstrosity, He gripped his sword and launched towards it at a speed that was nearly blinding. As he soared above it he saw the weak spot that Azmot had been targeting. He dove down, and sliced at the weak spot. He saw from experience that stabbing would have done him no good, so the slash was his only option. As his second slice made contact, a shock ran through his blade and up his arm. The shock made him lose grip of his blade, Simultaneously they fell to the earth feet away from each other, without a chance of Ryu regaining his grip. His arm was numb, and he couldn't move it. He spun himself back into balance with his wings outspread. What am I supposed to do now, I can't move my arm, it doesn't hurt at all. I can't fight like this. Damnit, DAMNIT!!!

"Sangoran It's your turn I guess, allow me to give you a boost." Ryu used his control over wind to levitate Sangoran and bring him by his side.

"I will be your wings, you will be my arms. We have to kill this thing, LET'S GO!

Sangoran watched from the ground as the angels began their seperate assault on the metallic bird. He witnesses the first, and probably the stronger one, get knocked out and fall only to be saved by the second angel. He stares at this bird and notices the open wound growing slightly bigger. He also began no notice the armor above where the wound ended, starting to slightly crack. He began to question the idea of whether they can focus their attacks on the wound and cracking armor. He looks up to see the second angel heads towards him, offering to give him a shot at the winged bird.

A boost you say? Well, i'm ready when you are, kid.

The angel throws a strong gust of wind towards Sangoran, lifting him into the air towards the foe. He and Ryu head toward the bird and Sangoran heads toward the open wound. The bird, seeing another attempt at its weak spot, responds quickly and swings its wing at Sangoran. Reacting without thinking, he lowers his head down and folds his arms in an X shape with his scythe facing vertically in front of him, taking the most force of the hit, and throws Sangoran back and slightly off balance.

Damn, i'm completely outta my comfort zone of fighting here. This thing knows i'm after its' weak point. Tch, what an annoyance this is. I need to get this thing under control or were going to die....I GOT IT!

The thought of a way to put this big dinner under control pops into his head. He looks over to the angel and smiles.

Hey kid, i'm going to need you to do something different. Hows about sending some wind towards its next swing. I've got a fun little plan to ground this annoying little thing.

Giddion Watches as the Angels Begin their assault upon the bird. He begins to notice a pattern in the attacks. Their all aiming for a certain area. He sees the first Angels attack land, As the bird Quickly knocked Him away. He watches as the Other winged one, aim for the same spot as the first one, With Simmilar results. He then looks down to see the Once Crippled Individual, and finds that he is back to full health. He watches a vortex of Air Pick Him up as he rose up to the bird. He saw for a third time, The attack was almost Fool-heartidly Swatted off. He then thought to Himself

*I wonder... If I can Provide an Distraction... They can perform a strong combination attack!

"HEY!!!!, YOU RETARDED LOOKING SEAGULL!! COME GET ME!!! He hopes to get the attention of the Mecha bird, and He does. The Bird Turns His attentions to Giddion ans Hones in on him. He Dashes from Building to Building, In an attempt to confuse the bird. This does not work, It stays Pace By pace with each of Giddion's footsteps. He leads it back over to the others.

"QUICKLY!! WHILE I HAVE ITS ATTENTION, AIM FOR ITS VITALS! AFTER THE NEXT PASS OVER, IM NOT SURE IF HE WILL KEEP HIS FOCUS ON ME!!! STRIKE NOW!!!!!! He yells out to the others as he Jumps from a High-rise Building, and insted of Jumping to another roof, He slides down the Side of a large Glass-sided Building. As The Bird Flies and Hovers Overhead, His Back, Unbeknownst to him, facing the 3 Other warriors.

"Its all on you now! Hit him where it hurts!!

Azmot remained unconscious, his mind stirring with many emotions...

(Skip me, and do it two more times.)

Ryu sees that the opportunity that the strange man presented was their only hope. He quickly used his skill of flight to gain reach over the bird. He released the wind that was suspending the hybrid and called upon it once more to retrieve his lost weapon. The sword comes flying towards Ryu at dizzying speeds. He swung his body around, retrieved his weapon and refocused the wind back on Sangoran, halting his descent. Once again the two men took their place in the air surrounding the falcon. Ryu suddenly had an idea as he focused in on the bird's faulty armor.

"Sangoran, I have a theory. If I put the full weight of my sword swing, along with the speed of my step, behind the swing of your scythe. we may be able to deal a death blow. Think about it along the same principles of fighting. Close-range equals less oomph behind your attack, so if I put all my strength and momentum behind yours, we may just be able to kill this thing before any more damage is done. So what do you say?

I say, why the hell didn't you think of this earlier?

Alright then, LETS GO!

Ryu throws Sangoran down towards the weak spot in the falcon's armor. While in descent Sangoran re-adjusted his body so that he could muster a full strength attack on the weak spot. Sangoran swings, and makes contact with the crack, but barely manages to draw blood.

RYU NOW!!!

Ryu launches himself forward with his wind in such a fashion, that his movements were a blur. As he approached his target he cocked back his arm, with sword in hand, and brought his wrath down on the interior curvature of Sangoran's scythe. The impact forced the scythe through the armor, and afterwards the blades cut through like a hot knife through butter. They had hit the bird's vitals, and it's life began to fade away. Ryu held a look of accomplishment on his face, as he stopped Sangoran's descent. They had killed the avian threat, and quite possibly saved Masaki City. The two drifted down top the ground where they landed safely. They had won, and everything was safe, or so they thought. They had forgotten something important, VERY important. They suddenly heard a loud cackle over the rooftop.

You think this is the end to the struggle, well sadly you are all very mistaken. This was just the start. You are all fools, and this will be the end of you.

Ryu looked over at Sangoran when they both said simultaneously,

Azmot!!!Azmot!!!

Slowly desending with the help of Ryu, Sangoran touches down on the ground and looks over at the still unconcious angel laying on the ground. He then hears the cackle and, what he believed to be, over rated and typical speech from the shadows of the building.

Hmph. You think your so tough lady? Just because you gave us a dinner we had to fight for you wanna brush it off as if it's nothing? Why don't you come over here and prove your worth the fight!

He yells out in the direction from which he had heard the voice emminating. After a few moments of silence he turns back and begins to walk away form the battle site. As he is walking he gives his thanks to Ryu and folds up his scythe and places it back under his shirt. He then places his hands in his pockets and continues to walk away.

Now I wonder where i can get some warheads around here. I could go for something sour right now. He asks himself.

With the Bird demon Defeated, Giddion Breathes a Sigh of relief. He falls back into the field he was standing in. He Stares into the sky. Wondering how things COULD have ended.

"These People... Work amazingly in a team... Their skills compliment one an other... Amazingly! He stays still lying on the ground. He closes his eyes

"Friends... Hehe... Never Thought I would see the day I would be working in a team.... Even IF It was for such a brief time. He then begins to fall asleep in the spot he is lying down. He keeps thinking to himself about What And WHO Oda plans for them to attack.

"Kid... Your the strangest Demon I have ever known...

Ryu tenses up as the mysterious woman spoke, He was afraid of her, and he didn't know why. Something about her just supressed him, and made him uncomfortable. It was a few moments after she finished her threat that she had disappeared. Ryu stumbled over in exhaustion, trying to reach Azmot. He struggled to grip the soil, and drag his nearly unconscious body through the grass until he reached Azmot. Upon reaching his lifeless friend, He felt he only had one option. He pulled a small vial from his pocket and drank it. This healed his arm, and allowed him to stand. He stood up and took the vial and tossed it away. He picked up Azmot's lifeless form, and took it to a safer place, where he could give him an elixir to attempt to revive him. After placing him down on a safe spot he gave him the Elixir and left him to recover, while he contacted a cleanup squad to dispose of the evidence before anybody saw it and freaked out. He also called the Flame Haze. He knew that if there was a problem that they could simply separate the area from time, and space itself and repair the damage done by the combat. In short, it was a fail safe. He spent whatever time he had to himself walking around with a Dragonfruit Brisk, and any remaining time investigating the woman on the bike. It had been a couple of weeks since the fight with the demon Falcon on crack, and Azmot was back in commission loo king for the bike lady. The day was near coming to close, and Ryu was walking to a place where he was living, upon Kami's orders. Suddenly as he turned the corner he walked into a man. Looking into his face he felt he was familiar. The two collided knocking each other on the ground where Ryu's tea bottle rolled on the sidewalk evacuating it's contents. The same general thing happened to the other man except it was a cup of ramen. The two men abruptly stood up and stared each other down with much intensity.

You...Spilled...My........BRISK, YOU LITTLE SON OF A BITCH I'LL KILL YOU!!! Ryu flailed violently at the man when suddenly he found out he was being suspended in the air by his shirt collar. He peered over his shoulder with an innocent look on his face.

Uhm....hi...Azmot-chan *^_^

It had been two weeks since Sangoran had seen the two angels. He walked by the park and had flashbacks from the time he was being tested and then the giant mecha bird. He chuckles at the thoughts in his mind and proceeds towards the bridge. A few minutes later Sangoran reaches the very center of the bridge and stares at the setting sun with a slight smile on his face. He pulls a pendant out from under his shirt and grips it up.

Its already been two weeks since that fight. I didnt have to even ask for your help. Hmph... its probably better that I didnt anyway. You just rest up and if the time should so happen to come...

He thought to himself as he continued to smile at the beautiful setting sun and the gentle breeze going by. With a sigh and a slight chuckle, Sangoran lets go of the pendant and places both of his hands in his pocket and begins to walk to the other side of the town.

now time to do some shopping. I need some food... And a drink. Oh maybe I can find that store with those warheads!

And with that he speeds off toward the market section of town, in search of food and drinks.... and warheads. He exits a store about ten minutes later with a got cup of ramen and a bag with warheads. He rounds the corner and bumps got a man and accidentally spills his drink.

You... spilled... my....BRISK! IM GOING TO KILL YOU!

Sangoran chucked as the man behind him grabbed him up by his shirt collar as the first man began flailing I anger.

Uh... hi to you too Ryu? If its any consolation you spilled the only food that would have had in like two days...

(Skipping Giddion?)

Ugh...

Azmot mentally sighed as he ran into the odd pair, Ryu still at his hand's grasp. He had bandages over his torso and lower back underneath his clothes, his body still bruised from the fight. The Featro-Dagger was now always hidden beneath his shirt, tucked away with a strap that was under his sleeve. This would allow him to channel Electricity (A trait he learned the dagger had during it's study) through his body in an emergency.

As he heard the pitiful words escape Sangoran's lips, Azmot released Ryu suddenly. His General's Cloak flapped in the wind as he turned to walk away; A small amount of bills "slipped" out of the long sleeves, enough money inside to buy a nice dinner, in any world. With not a smirk, Azmot disappeared into his humble abode, thinking about writing schematics for his new design...

Ryu stood up and brushed himself off when he heard his phone ringing.

"Hello...yes this is he....are you kidding me.....when.....but I just got home....ugh yes sir" Ryu said rolling his eyes. He hung up the phone and looked at Sangoran.

Well, I will be away for a bit. I have to find a few things that r and d let loose, And I still have 8 more after this one...perfect. Ryu unfurled his wings and took off.

(I am going to take a posting hiadus, and finish my lost eggs mission so just skip me for a bit.)

Sangoran looked up from his spilled ramen at Ryu and Azmot, as Azmot held Ryu in the air by his shirt. The two notice the bandages and bruises Ryu had from the fight and they both share a look and a slight smile from it. Azmot then sets Ryu down after he calms down. Ryu's phone begins to ring and he answers it. A few seconds later he comes back and tells the two he needs to go. He then shakes Sangorans hand and he spreads his wings and heads out into the night sky. Sangoran then looks over to see Azmot had disapeared without so much as a good-bye. Sangoran then turns and notices himself staring at a bar.

Well I'll be damned. I could use a drink to escape this crazy night of mine. I just hope they have the /good/ sake.

He walks in, and for the next two hours, knocks backs shots and shots of sake and vodka.
